Client storiesA few of the institutions we have made gifts for, and what they said about it. Each gift began with a conversation and a sketch, and each one belongs to its client alone.
For the launch of the hospital's For Every Child campaign, we took icons from the campaign's branding guidelines and drew them into a handmade pashmina and silk tie, with the campaign's hand and heart in the tipping on the back of the tie. The gifts went out with an RSVP invitation to the kick-off event, and a request that donors wear them there.

Notre Dame wanted a recognition gift worthy of the alumni and benefactors who give so much to its mission. Emma drew the university's story into hard enamel cufflinks and a matching brooch, the color set by hand and polished flush, and each set was presented in a Notre Dame branded luxury box with its provenance on the reverse of the notecard.

Gifts for Kent School's alumni and parents, built around the School's heraldic coat of arms. A 35-inch silk scarf carries the arms supersized and framed by a deep navy border, and a Saxony wool scarf in the School's colors was woven on the same looms that make the scarlet cloth for the Guards' uniforms at Buckingham Palace.

A silk scarf and tie made in secret for the College of Engineering, to be presented at the retirement dinner of Dean Leah H. Jamieson. The scarf carries the text of her final remarks over the college logo in black and gold, and her signature is printed on the scarf and in the tipping of the tie.

Working with the archivist at the Oriental Institute, we turned a Babylonian lion mosaic from the university's own collection into a silk scarf and tie, matching the colors of the tiles exactly. A Saxony wool scarf with the Presidential seal and a blazer badge in gold and silver wire completed the set.
